… and as she walked through the garden – familiar paths, friendly turns, old friends among the trees and new cheery hellos from the spring flowers – she paused for a moment in the sun–dappled shade of the two thin willowy trees to rest, yes, but more to just pause and be still.  She listened, heard the birds, a few in sight, enlivening with their hopping and small flutterings, the bushes and ground and trees in whose shade she rested.  And she thought, with such life and color all around, how resting and pausing and being still were now becoming more common in her regiment of life, yes, but even more they were…ohh…treasured moments, yes and even blessings, the highlights of her day…and, yes, of her life now.  And so, how was it that her life once so filled with dancing, and laughter, and the looks of men – so exciting, so longed for – should now be filled with joy in just the quiet pauses in the garden
