…yes, a very modern look and feel to it, or at least appealing to the modern eye…or just to the human eye and mind, a concrete expression of the human spirit and soul in art, yes…our spirit and soul, though, yes, almost 6000 years old. To the modern eye, maybe, to the human spirit, definitely. For just its form, graceful, appealing to the eye, balanced, yet in the human mind, weighted to the ground, something beautiful of shape, something the human mind wants to instinctively feel and caress with both hands, to touch and pick up, to feel the curves and the lip and the rim, to contemplate with the mind and the hands and the eyes, the physical extension of the human soul, for art, its creation and appreciation, is essentially a gift of one set of hands and a human spirit giving, handing, to another set of hands and eyes, to another unique human spirit, part of the human soul and spirit we all share, that we were all given, and that is why the beauty in art appeals to the modern eye, because it is timeless, centered in our soul.
