Second Grandson – 06/28/21

…and the memories of childhood, many soft impressions at best, but all recording somehow our progress and the awakening, the consciousness, of ourselves, our being, distinct and different from all else around us, distinct from what we see, distinct from what we hold in our hand, distinct, and at times, alone and apart from everything else around us, an individual, a person – even as a very young child, as first steps, at least those remembered, took the little boy, the awake and awakening consciousness, over ground, even dirt and gravel, obviously trod upon many times before, but now seen with seemingly suddenly wide-open eyes, for not just now the little shoes upon the ground, but above, the sky, lightly tinged with thin clouds, with the wonder, the thought, involuntary and automatic of what they were, and the trees now with a color, a different color, and the words color, and green, and yellow, and orange not yet known, the experience, the sight and view the new, even without the words still to come, which gives more order to beauty and wonder and the ability to speak and tell and share, at least partially, the experience of the mind and soul, for the experience and awe comes first, the memories, and then comes the words, eventually, and then comes…art.
