Second Sister’s Spouse – 04/08/21

…and then of course what caught her eye and mind was the differences in what she initially assumed, like everyone else…probably…was all the same thing, just two colors red and white put together somehow, she had not really paid all that much attention in high school biology…other things and persons usually occupied her mind and life with their attractions…just like everyone else…well, those she knew…she assumed, but here once you took a look…whatever stopped her, she did not know or really have the time to think about it…as she waited for the museum to mercifully close so she could go…well, home to where it was comfortable and easy and…ordered…and predictable…with nothing new or different…yes…  But now she lingered – against her best judgment of course – against all the logic by which she had ordered her life…and yet she lingered more.  So what does one say about or learned from four…stupid red and white tulips…the sign said “tulips” but she had her doubts…oh, my goodness, they all have different names – who has time for this, who are these persons who painted these tulips, who are the persons who made these tulips in the first place and why does anyone need so many different stupid red and white tulips, really, really, what is the logic and use of that?  What reason…why painted, why made – is that even the right word, “made”, do you make tulips or is it something else, like breeding rats and she laughed out loud, then she remembered where she was and that she was out of order…and what persons and why, what persons and why…and she stood thinking and puzzling through all this and was annoyed when the museum closed right on time.
