…and as the twelve year-old boy approached the castle with his father, he was beside himself with excitement as this was the first time he had come to the great castle and the great and beautiful palace of the great prince.  And the horses were almost dancing, and all the colors of the nobles’ clothes and caps and all the silver and gold of their rings and chains of honor around their necks all glittered and shone and flashed brilliantly in his eyes and he felt beneath him his horse even dance more as they paraded across the open and welcoming drawbridge, the horses’ hooves creating a wonderful song of power and splendor with their proud prancing upon the weathered but shining wood of the drawbridge.  And the boy’s mind was silenced in awe and wonder as they entered the magnificent gate of the castle and then, with a crash, the gate crashed down behind them and they were trapped and prisoners.
